Where in the Bible? is a daily Bible game. We collect as little as we can to run it. You can play without an account, and we never sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Your game results. Your guesses and scores, linked to a random ID stored in a cookie on your device, so you keep today's result and your streak.
- Your email address, if you create an account. We use it to send sign-in codes and to keep your history across devices. We don't send marketing emails.
- Notification settings. If you turn on reminders, your browser gives us a push address and we store your time zone so the reminder arrives at 8am your time.
- Usage analytics. We count things like games played and shares, using PostHog in cookieless mode. We don't use analytics cookies, and we don't record your screen.
Advertising
We show ads from Google AdSense below the game. Google may use cookies to show ads and measure them. Visitors in the UK and EEA are asked for consent first. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Who processes your data
Supabase (database and accounts), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sign-in emails), PostHog EU (analytics) and Google (ads). They process data only to provide their services to us.
Your choices
- Turn off reminders at any time from the result screen, or in your phone's settings.
- Clear your browser's site data to remove the game cookie.
- Email hello@whereinthebible.org to get a copy of your data or have your account deleted.
